Weekly update

Kent Police have received reports of three garage breaks in the Goudhurst area. Enquiries are ongoing and officers are conducting increased mobile patrols.

We would like to remind residents to help protect their property by:

Ensuring garages, sheds and outbuildings are locked and secure.

Installing security lighting or CCTV where possible.

Marking valuable property and keeping a record of serial numbers.

Removing keys from vehicles and not storing them in garages where possible.

Reporting any suspicious persons, vehicles or activity immediately.

As part of our continued efforts to tackle local concerns, PC Latter and PC Cartwright have also conducted speed enforcement checks on the A21, engaging with motorists and monitoring compliance with speed limits to help keep our roads safe.

It was great to attend another community lunch in Goudhurst, providing us an opportunity to speak with residents, listen to local concerns and discuss issues affecting the village.

We rely on information from the community to help target our patrols and investigations. If there are issues in your area that are bothering you, please continue to speak to Lauren and Kady and report concerns. Information from local residents is invaluable in helping us identify offenders, tackle anti-social behaviour and address crime hotspots.
